My luck has been going down the drain lately.  I got a phone call from the dealership taking care of my car.  It turns out that the engine pretty much needs a major overhaul.  The cost is considerably depressing.  The frustrating thing is there is nothing I can do about it.  I just have to accept it and fork over the dough.

Last night Jenny and I watched television until about 10 or 11 at night and I was left to figure out my creative thing for the day.  While I rode the train home I thought I wanted to work on the music video as my creative thing but once 11pm rolls around alternatives start coming to mind.  My creative thing from Day 247 where I recreated the main character from King’s Quest in 3D has really been sticking with me.

So, at the last minute I decided to make myself some 8-bit characters.  I created a document in photoshop at 100X50 pixels.  I zoomed into it and used the pencil tool to fill in the pixels.

It went by surprisingly fast and because of that I decided to challenge myself a bit more and make an 8-bit versions of Paul Bunyan and Ash from Army of Darkness.

I think they’re pretty cool.
