Over the course of the day today, I realized just how expensive this print order was going to be. I didn’t want to spend that much. I have some images that will be poster sized, some that will be 11X17 and most of them which will be 8X10. The poster and medium sized ones I plan on printing at my dads office because he’s got a high quality plotter that can print large sizes. But the 8X10’s alone were going to cost me upwards of 600 dollars. That’s too much money.
We have a color laser at my office and I decided to test it out with some heavy weight paper. I thought the images came out all right. I decided to call my boss and get her permission to use the printer for my show. Because the toner cartridges alone cost 75 dollars each, and there’s four of them in there, it could get pretty expensive as well. My boss, so kindly, offered to take on the cost of the cartridges, which was a huge relief.
So once 6pm rolled around I started the long process of printing every single picture. I printed until 2am. I had gotten about 150 images printed which only consisted of about 75 days from the blog. It’s definitely a slow process but at least I have some images in my hands now. I fell asleep on the sofa at that point.
I think it’s funny that ultimately I’m going to have to print this day as well.
My boss also let me borrow a large flat screen television which was in one of our avid bays. It was mounted on an arm on the wall and we didn’t have a stand for it. I decided to try out a couple of C-stands as alternatives and it worked like a charm.
Also, while I printed crap all night, I decided to mess around a bit with my Pinto-graph. I fashioned a different size attachment out of some cardboard and I got some pretty cool variation in the drawing.

I’m excited for your show and hope to make it. Is there a date yet?
Thanks! I’d love to have you come by. I checked out your site and was impressed with your array of projects. The link at the top that says “THE SHOW” has a flyer on it which includes the date and time. Did you happen to check there? I wonder if I should increase the size of the date and time?
I missed the new link on top. Thanks for answering the question. Maybe it should be another color so it stands out. Good flyer.
For some reason, I thought you were just doing highlights from throughout the year. But it just dawned on me that you’re going to have every day in there! Wow! This is going to be so incredible!
I hope it will be a fun experience at the very least. I’m still a bit nervous about it.
