Jenny and I woke up feeling sick.  I think it was the alcohol we drank last night.  We didn’t drink much of it but we both felt similarly ill.  I woke up early with June and then later Jenny had to take her to a baby shower.  I slept in until nearly 1pm.

Overall, I felt a little under the weather.  Looking out the window you could see the tops of the trees rustling hard in the wind.  The wind and the rain were in full effect today.  A trip to pick up coffee got me out of the house and I was inspired by the imagery outdoors.

I didn’t have the energy to set-up my garage for working on the telescope project but I did feel the urge to go out and capture some of this beautiful imagery.  I didn’t want to get wet so I set up my tripod and camera in the passenger seat of my car looking out the window.  When I saw an interesting shot I drove right up to it, rolled down my window and began recording.

It was pretty cool because it happened to be the perfect set-up for some cool dolly shots.

Eventually, I was taken by the raindrops on my windshield.  If you look very closely at them you can see the scene outside projected upside down inside the droplet.  It seemed to me the perfect subject matter for my macro lens.

I wish I started earlier with the macro stuff because the light was fading and I ended up boosting the ISO quite a bit.  Still, the imagery in extreme macro was incredibly beautiful.

Check back here tomorrow for the video which I am still in the process of editing.

Do you have a high resolution version of the first picture? Great blog btw.
[…] evening I focused on finishing my edit for the montage from yesterday. I hoped to finish the piece last night but what delayed me was the music. I just […]
I do, although not still-photo high-rez. I could link you to one that’s 1920X1080 if you like?
Yeah, that would be great! The picture reminded me of the bay window my family had in our old house.
