This friday was a pretty full day. I spent the whole day on set then at nightfall I picked up some friends at the train station. My buddy Steve had invited us out for dinner. We had a great time but I wasn’t out of there until 12:30 at night.
I got home at 1:30 and took about a half hour to actually figure out what I was going to do. I have been riding a small wave of interest in using Inkscape lately to create screen-print designs. I didn’t have much time so I needed to do something pretty simple. Luckily, I remembered my post from Day 064 where I tried to emulate a Charley Harper-esque design with birds.
I really wanted the design to have a very geometric quality so the method I used to create the shapes was different than my normal method. The way I did it was by using only the circle or square tool then I would cut out portions of those shapes using other circles and squares. The results in using this method insured consistent curves.
I enjoyed doing it this way it actually.
