I apologize for posting this one so late. It has been a crazy busy morning and I’ve had trouble getting to the time to get to my computer to post. Well, today’s creative thing is not as exciting as most others but it’s work that is long overdue. On Day 058 I created a website for the Monome Community Remix Project, also known as MCRP. MCRP is a remix project where everyone who wants to be involved uploads a sample. Then, at a certain point, the sample pack is sent back to everyone involved and we all have to make our own songs using only those samples. I moderated one of the MCRP’s and you can listen to the tracks right here on The B-roll. You can listen to all the songs that I’ve created for each of the various MCRP’s here. You can also download all the tracks from multiple MCRP’s here. There is a ton of good music and all made by unique and talented individuals and also completely free.
I had wanted the site to be a place where people can listen to the songs and learn about the artists who created those songs. Ever since I created the site it has remained rather stagnant. I had planned on making an artist page for everyone who had ever been involved and that never happened. So last night I decided that I’d work on creating those artist pages. There are a ton of artists and still the majority need to be put together but at least I put a dent into some of the work that needs to be done.

what is the player that you used on the site?
Hey Rabbit, the player is called the XSPF player. I just tried to do a search for it in the wordpress plugins and couldn’t find it. I think if you search for wp audio gallery playlist and use that one it will look the same and I guess work the same. Although, I’ve been thinking of switching it up because it doesn’t allow scrubbing.
