Here is a list of my favorite people and places on the net.
PEOPLE
NICOLE SLOAN

STEWART KENNETH MOORE
I met Stewart while working on the film Prince Caspian in the Czech Republic. He is an experienced fine artist who has been painting and drawing for many years. He’s currently drawing an 262 page graphic novel called “The Next Big Thing”. His work is truly inspiring.
CHRISTIE YURI NOH
A friend of mine who recently moved up to San Francisco to pursue her art. She’s a really inventive and talented artist. There’s usually a sense of humor or irony to the work she does. She’s pretty awesome!

JARED SMYTH
Jared is a friend I met through doing the creative thing a day. He was doing his own creative thing a day blog at the same time. Ultimately, we both supported each other with comments as the year progressed. We collaborated over one summer doing a concept of his own creation called mmcc or Morning Music and Coffee Consumption. He’s a skilled musician and composes music with great nuance and subtlety. You can link to his albums from his site. Originally from Florida, he’s now migrated to the west coast and is living in Oakland with his wife and daughter. Coincidentally, he has just started a new 365 day project consisting of a daily photo series.
JONATHAN SAINT AMANT
Jonathan is a friend and also an uber-talented artist. I am super envious of his cartooning skills. The majority of his artwork takes place in a fictitious world of his own creation. For example, he has a vast collection of pieces which take place in Nowhereland. A place inhabited by ninjas, sloths, bro-bots and sexy fauns. His latest creation is a comic called “Shelby And The Blooms”. Shelby is a slug who when she recedes into her shell enters into a magical fantasy world.

DEAN ETHINGTON
My buddy Dean is no stranger to 365 Day Projects. He has been doing them for many years. A year of self-portraits, a year without alcohol, a year of monthly charitable volunteerism. For 2012 he was inspired by my own creative thing a day idea and he decided to take on one creative thing a week. His projects put my projects to shame. Having a week to finish each project made him set the bar high and he tackled one overly-ambitious thing after another. Do check it out.

JESSE LA TOUR
My friend Jesse is a true renaissance man. He’s helped spark a culture of art appreciation in my hometown of Fullerton, CA by helping to organize the monthly art walks and co-managing a local gallery. He is also a talented and prolific writer. He’s been studying the history of Fullerton and surrounding area and posting about it online. I believe it all will be edited and compiled into a book he’s titled “The Town I Live In”.

RACHEL PEDROSO
My friend Rachel has a really awesome blog called A Path To Pursue. She writes eloquently about life, yoga, and parenting her twin boys Reese and Elliot, one of which was born with cerebal palsy. She’s an inspiration as well.
JON SONNENBERG
A friend who has always been an inspiration to me. As a kid he built his own electronic instruments. He’s been making music for a long time and I really recommend picking up a few of his albums.
