Today didn’t feel like another day to me. Instead it felt more like an epic continuation of yesterday. I didn’t sleep at all and I just worked through the morning. Cutting, mounting, taping. Over and over and over again. The biggest drawback to this show was that if I simply had to make a label I still had to make that label 360 times. The numbers were not working in my favor.
I worked all day. Any piece of artwork I made over the course of the year, whether it be a painting, drawing or simply some notes on paper, had to be spray mounted to poster-board before they could have gaffers tape applied to them.
Chris went home to get some sleep this morning and I put an alert out on Facebook asking for anyone in Fullerton that owns a pair of scissors and has nothing else to do to come on by and help out. My friends Colleen, Corky and Ryan answered the call.
It was pretty late by the time they came over and I was completely dazed. I think I was up to about Day 140 on the wall. Colleen took on the boring job of making tape loops while Corky and Ryan placed things on the wall. Since they appeared to be handling things in my stead I passed out in a chair.
I was awoken by my buddy Chris. Corky, Colleen and Ryan had left and they had gotten to Day 169.
I was out of it and went home to get some sleep.
