Posting two at once tonight. I’m sorry for posting these ones so late. I believe I mentioned earlier about June picking up my sickness. Well, this weekend has been all about taking care of Junie.
I had been meaning for some time now to help my buddy Jeff get set-up with the Bliptronome I assembled for him a while ago. So, for this evenings creative thing (friday night), it seemed like an opportune time to do that.
I downloaded and installed everything he needed to get started. I toured him through a couple apps. I showed him Stretta’s Press Cafe for a Midi App example and I showed him MLR as an audio app example.
We put together a set of loops created from one of his Reason projects and put them into MLR. I was sadly disappointed by the Bliptronomes reaction time. It turned out that we couldn’t get 16th note quickness from the device and the fastest we could improvise with it were in 8th notes. Really disappointing actually.
We filmed a couple of quick jams that each of us did with his set of loops at which point Jenny phoned because June wasn’t sleeping. I foolishly left without grabbing the audio recording which is the main reason I couldn’t get this posted sooner.
I included an edited version of Jeff’s jam but omitted my jam from the video because it was just too poor to consider entertaining. Oh well. It was a fun night nevertheless.
Enjoy!

I am ordering a bliptone and the kit and am a little nervous about the conversion. I’ve not had the chance to try anything like this before; A good ‘first type’ project?
Thank you
