Day 095 / 3D VU Meter

Last night I did another Cinema 4D tutorial.  I’m really looking forward to digging into this program.  This tutorial covers an object called the Sound Effector which allows you to use an audio file to modulate some parameter within the 3D software.  I could’ve taken this one so much farther than I did but I had to get some rest after the long week I had.

I rendered it overnight and this morning brought it into After Effects to marry it with the music and also add some effects to make it look a little cooler.  Just a quickie video clip of it below.  The audio I used was from Day 90 of this blog.

Also I just wanted to add that yesterday I finished the edit I was cutting at work for Toy Story 3 and it officially marks the end of my editorial duties on that film.  I will have to take care of any notes that may come up but unless there are drastic changes it signifies the beginning of more time for more interesting creative things.  Stay tuned.  I’ve had some ideas boiling away.

Enjoy!
