Day 046 / Suicide Bridge

It was rainy for the better part of the afternoon today.  As I drove home from work I decided that my creative project would have something to do with the rain.  Since it was raining and who knows how much longer the rain will be around this year.  I decided my thing today would be photographs of reflections in the rain.

Unfortunately, by the time I’d gotten home the rain had subsided and dried out pretty quickly.  My plan changed into photographing the wind in the trees because it was still pretty windy.  So I started in my driveway and caught some of the trees on my hillside in some long exposures.   I drove off in search of a good location.  As I drove, for some reason, I was heading towards what I call suicide bridge.  It’s a name my buddy Dietrich and I coined back in the days of high school.  Mainly because it’s an ominous looking bridge.  I believe it’s actually called the Idaho bridge named after the street that it’s located on.

Anyways, I parked a little down the road and walked back under the bridge and beyond down the hill.  It was a little freaky because I could hear the coyotes howling out there while I was taking my photographs.  Eventually, it began to rain a little and I ended up getting a couple of those reflection photographs I had planned to do.

Pretty random but it was a pretty cool night.  I think it’s funny that in the same week I have a posting called Evil Hotel Symmetry as well as Suicide Bridge. Pretty Dark.
