Well, today marks the first day of this crazy challenge as well as the first day of being a non-smoker.  So, in honor of my quitting day I decided to re-purpose all of the old packs lying on the passenger side floor of my car.  It’s a little makeshift zeotrope using cigarette packs as the holders for the drawings.  I also cut up some unwanted CD’s and used them as the mirrors for viewing the animation.  I noticed the cigarette packs themselves were also perfect for storing your drawings.  I tried to do a little animation of a guy puffing away but it didn’t turn out so well.  I realized too late that the mirrors field of view was more suited to smaller drawings.  Plus, the spinning mechanism didn’t end up so well but if you were to spin it gingerly you could maybe watch a few successful turns go by.

So day 1 down and 364 more to go.  This is going to be tough.  Today I had all day too put this together but tomorrow is monday and I won’t have so much time.  We’ll see what happens.  Fingers crossed.

Cool idea! Sorry it didn’t work so well, but the pictures of it and the creativity are totally awesome. Good luck with your challenge(s), and happy belated birthday brother :)
