Day 319 / Dog-Eared and Dog-Tired

January 19th, 2011

I got home around 8am and, at first, thought I wouldn’t go to sleep.  I hate losing my daytime hours to sleep but eventually I couldn’t keep my eyes open and I had to lay down.  I slept until about 3pm.

I was dazed and grumpy for most of the day.  I wondered what my creative project might be.  A lot of ideas went through my head but many of them went out the window as the hours passed.

Eventually it was 8pm.  June was off to bed and Jenny was soon after.  I was left with an unsure feeling as to what I felt like I was up for.  I was still pretty tired.

I perused the net.  I went to the Make blog because since it has been a while since I’d checked in.  I found this post which I thought was a pretty inventive idea.  This person had taken a book and dog-eared it in away so that the edges of the paper formed the word “read”.  I thought that seems do-able.

It started off well but quickly got more complicated.  Once I started to deal with the curves on the letter “B” I felt my energy level begin to wane.  Eventually I had to throw in the towel.  I didn’t have it in me tonight.  I was too tired.  Instead, I’m chalking it up as an experience.

I might continue this on another day but I’ll have to wait and see.  As of now, you could put a fork in me.
