Day 130 / Dry Erase Week – The Toughest 6 Frames Ever

On the way home from work I got a phone call from Jenny telling me that June had a fever and that we needed to buy an air conditioner.  So, I diverted to Home Depot and got a little wall unit for Junes room.  By the time I finished installing the thing it was all ready 11:30 at night.  Then I sat down to what was the toughest bit of animation I’ve had to do.  I got a whole 6 frames done (3 drawings) which you can see above.  I had to constantly take example pictures and then test it by flipping between it and the previous frame.  It took me at least an hour to get the first frame to where I liked it.  I don’t even feel completely confident with the last frame. It’s kind of sad because this whole move in the end will last like half a second.

What I’m trying to do is have the camera truck back into the next room and settle into a shot from a classic 80’s film which I’ll be roto-scoping for tomorrows post.  Can you guess from the very ambiguous bottom frame what classic scene it will be? The lyric is “I want you to slide with me”
