Working late at the office again tonight. So, I decided to continue my collection of sounds and video for my epic office supply orchestra to be used in my monome app 64(video)fingers. This time there’s a special surprise treat. A hidden office instrument you never knew existed but makes a gorgeous bell sound. The source of the beautiful noise is the heatsink that can be found inside a G4 mac computer. I have to give credit to my co-worker Ryan (aka. IMUR) for discovering it. It is definitely a good find. I played it by plucking the tines with a thumbtack. Other sounds I recorded today were the coffee machine, laser printer, ice machine and a zip tie.
On the cig front, I have been seriously jonesing. Suddenly, it has gotten harder. I don’t know, there’s something about editing late that just brings on the urge. I have chewed a ton of Stride tonight.

Keep chewing that Stride. You’ll get past this. Take it from one who knows…. it’s been 17 years for me now.
You can do it darling!
