Work is beginning to ramp up again and last night I worked pretty late. I didn’t have much time to do my creative thing but luckily it was an opportunity for me to test out my new crazy lens. I had always planned on renting this lens for a Macro week on the blog. Inspired by the film “The Fountain” and for a music video I was working on at the time I had always planned on doing some Macro fluid experiments. I got a chance to do something similar on Day 048 when my co-worker Todd brought in an Eye-Clops microscope camera to work but with this lens I could be recording it all in Full HD! Imagine the Slitscan experiments.
I had figured on renting it for a week but about a month ago I spotted it for sale at a local camera shop. They had marked it down almost 50%! I thought, “shoot, I could sell this guy for more than that on Ebay” So, I opted to purchase it. I will be selling of some vintage lenses that I don’t really use anymore to offset the cost so I may post a link to those when they go up on Ebay.
Most of these pictures are at full magnification except for the picture of the #4 near the top. Suffice to say, I am looking forward to seeing the world in a new way.
